Cortolandria is the first Italian Festival of short films whose aim is to set off the dialect as a language with a phonology, a morphology, syntax and lexicon able to comply with the cultural and territorial needs of a community.
The show, reached its second edition, seeks to support the spreading of the audiovisual production of short films focused on dialect and local languages, places and regions of all over the world.
A Short Film Festival which provides a platform for young student filmmakers and school whose short films has to focus on the revaluation of the local language.  Young people, in fact,  are highly motivated to face and live the short film experience as protagonists.
The dialects are cultural heritages to safeguard and protect, the local languages are eternal works of art and experiences of the “So Many Italy” considered treasures of our country.
A local language is the expression of tradition, usages and customs of a single place. It is the soul and the heart of local people, thanks to its efficaciousness and authenticity.
